Step 02: Requirements to Participate in the GenCyber Cybersecurity Camp 2025
Background:
Middle or High School teachers teaching technology, science, or related subjects.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Documents to Submit:
A one-page essay: “Why do you want to participate in the GenCyber Camp, and how will you use this experience in your classroom?”
A letter of recommendation from your school principal or supervisor.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer knowledge and internet navigation.
Grade Level:
High School students currently in 10th or 11th grade.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Documents to Submit:
A one-page essay: “Why are you interested in cybersecurity, and what do you hope to learn?”
An unofficial transcript or report card showing current academic standing.
A letter of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with technology.
Step 03: General Requirements
Participants must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with internet capabilities (if required for pre/post-camp activities).
Commitment to attend all camp sessions during the program dates: June 10–14, 2025.
Teachers must be prepared to develop two lesson plans based on camp content.
